Gospel and Film
As some of you are aware I am doing a course this year called Gospel and Film (hence the title of this post). As part of this course we are required to watch a movie each week. Understandably this is an arduous task which the class complains greviously about. Anyway below is a list of the movies I will be compelled to watch and the weekend that I will be watching them. The location will probably be the H.o.h Town (previously known as the W Flat).
Weekend Movie
March 18-20 Spiderman 2
March 28 Shawshank Redemption
April 1-3 Return of the King
April 8-10 Truman Show
April 15-May 1 Motorcycle Diaries [?]
May 6-29 Vigil
June 3-5 Came a Hot Friday
June 10-12 Whale Rider
The period from April 15-May 1 are the BCNZ holidays. The period from May 6-29 is a random mid-Semester break in lectures. Motorcycle Diaries will be watched only if it has came out on video by the time we are required to watch it.

What an awful task! Perhaps you would like some help to get this unpleasantness behind you? :P
Hey J-rod
Can i come help you do some of those assignments?
Sadly i missed spiderman 2 (and my dose of hot boy), however if i may book myself a place on a couch/comfy chair at the house of heresy's showing of Return of the King that would be marvellous. It was one of my goals to watch it over the Christmas holidays but never found any boys to watch it with. I must watch it with boys or face being horribly scared.
SEE YA SOON!
I second michelle on the 'helping' you with your assignments thing, especially shawshand redemption and motorcycle diaries if it happens :D
"I must watch it with boys or face being horribly scared" Seriously? or...? Cos that is the *best* excuse ever to hang around with/watch movies with guys :P hmm, maybe I should try that one...
yeah, sounds like a pick-up line, eh! Actually its not... the first one freaked me out SO MUCH! I couldn't watch most of it cos it was too scary.
The second one i watched with some 'lovely' guy mates and they laughed at me in all the scary bits.
However, i also need people to explain the story to me as i forget whos who what with all the names that sound alike....
(It seems like the lady doth protest too much, but really its true!)
I get ya :D It is way more fun watching LOTR movies with ppl. Having read the books, I knew what was gonna happen, which i guess is kinda cheating. On the other hand, you won't get annoyed by the bits where the storyline gets blatantly changed to appease the cinema gods. As for the names - well, you can always improvise :)
